It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride, low-concentration NaOH aqueous solution and high-temperature and high-pressure water.

N08800, UNS N08800 alloy is a nickel-iron-chromium-iron nickel-based corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant alloy, with high strength, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, carbonization, nitriding, and good creep strength.
The product has excellent mechanical properties at sub-zero, room temperature and high temperature as high as RR℃.
Corrosion resistance
Incoloy800 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure strengthened by austenite solid solution.
Incoloy800 is resistant to corrosion by many corrosive media, and its corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of austenitic stainless steel in a water-based corrosive environment.
The high nickel content makes it resistant to stress corrosion cracking, and the high chromium content makes it better resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.
Incoloy800 alloy has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids, but its corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid is limited.
In addition to the possibility of pitting corrosion in halides, it has good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and non-oxidizing salts. It also has good corrosion resistance in water, steam and mixtures of steam, air and carbon dioxide. It has excellent anti-oxidation, carbonization atmosphere and environmental performance in which oxidation and carbonization alternately occur at high temperatures. The corrosion resistance of hydrogen, nitrogen and sulfur-containing gases is also very good. In the latter application environment, the performance is better in oxidizing conditions than in reducing conditions.
In summary, the alloy has excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance.
