The foundation stone laying ceremony of the 1680m³ blast furnace of Liugang Nickel Iron Smelting Project

On the morning of June 30th, in the new project area of Zhongjin Company of Yulin Longtan Industrial Park, with the sound of fireworks, Liu Jun, deputy general manager of Liugang, announced the official launch of the new blast furnace project.

The blast furnace is the landmark building of the smelting project. The successful foundation of the blast furnace area is a milestone. It will play a powerful role in accelerating the construction of the whole project, and it also marks a solid step for the Liugang ferrochrome smelting project.

The project uses advanced, practical, mature, reliable, energy-saving, environmentally-friendly, efficient and long-lived process technology and equipment to achieve the goal of high efficiency, low consumption, high quality, longevity and cleanliness of blast furnace production.

After the completion of the project, the project can add 1.46 million tons of pig iron per year, of which about 200,000 tons/year of hot metal is sent to the existing stainless steel steelmaking workshop, and the remaining molten iron is ingots and supplied to the group company or market.

The ironmaking process adopts new equipment and new technologies such as advanced dry gas dedusting system, TRT system, slag treatment system and energy-saving comprehensive furnace technology, which will reduce equipment operation cost and equipment production efficiency, and improve waste recycling capacity and recycling rate.

The project construction time is tight and the task is heavy. The construction unit 11th Metallurgical Group stated that it is necessary to ensure that the project is completed as scheduled, complete the construction tasks with high quality and efficiency, and build the Liugang ferronickel project into a model project and a quality project to promote the economic and social development of Yulin City and Longtan Industrial Park.
