Stainless steel tube welding process
Welding is a process in which a permanent joint is formed by heating or pressurizing or a combination of both, and with or without a filler material, to achieve a material connection between the materials of the workpiece.
Welding technology has emerged with the smelting production of metals such as copper and iron and the application of various heat sources.
The emergence of laser welding plasma, electron beam and laser welding methods in the 1960s marked the new development of high energy density welding, greatly improving the weldability of materials, and enabling many materials and structures that are difficult to weld by other methods.
The welding process is an important measure to ensure the quality of welding. It can confirm the correctness and rationality of the welding procedure instructions for various welded joints.
Different welding methods have different welding processes. The welding process is mainly determined according to the material, grade, chemical composition, weldment structure type and welding performance requirements of the workpiece to be welded. First of all, we must determine the welding methods, such as hand arc welding, submerged arc welding, tungsten argon arc welding, gas metal arc welding, etc. There are many types of welding methods, which can only be selected according to specific conditions. After the welding method is determined, the welding process parameters are determined, and the types of welding process parameters are different. For example, hand arc welding mainly includes: welding rod type (or brand), diameter, current, voltage, welding power source type, polarity connection, welding Number of layers, number of tracks, test methods, etc.
Argon arc gas shielded welding
Stainless steel buttweld pipe welding process Argon gas is an inert gas that does not react with metal to isolate air as a shielding gas. Argon arc welding is generally plasma welding. Generally, after arc welding, the argon gas is used for cooling, so that the generated arc space becomes small, that is, the arc diameter becomes small, and the temperature in the arc changes high. However, the arc is not directly contacted by the metal, but is turned on by a high current after being broken down by a high voltage.
Stainless steel welding attention points:
- Pay attention to the welding angle when welding. Generally, the angle between the nozzle and the workpiece is moderate at about 85 degrees.
- The welded pipe is generally horizontally oscillated (slightly twisted), and the angle between the wire and the nozzle is always maintained at 90 degrees.
- The most critical step is that the welder technology is not skilled enough to practice 45-degree plate welding.
- When welding the pipe, the inside of the pipe can be flushed with argon gas, and nitrogen can be flushed during the practice (cost saving).
