JISCO’s Duplex Steel of Petroleum Makes Another Great Achievement: Enters The High-end Field

A few days ago, along with the successful downhole operation of corrosion-resistant alloy coiled 2205 stainless steel pipes in the Changqing Oilfield of China National Petroleum Corporation, it marked the entry of JISCO 2205 duplex steel of petroleum into the high-end field.

Corrosion is a worldwide problem that the petroleum industry has been facing. In oil and gas exploitation, the corrosion of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, chloride ions and other media is one of the important reasons for the failure of pipes. About one-third of the world’s oil and gas fields contain hydrogen sulfide gas. my country’s Sichuan, Changqing, North China, Xinjiang, and Jianghan oil fields are all sulfur-bearing oil and gas fields. Corrosion-resistant alloy 2205 stainless steel coiled tubing has a resistance to internal and external pressure by more than 30% higher than that of ordinary carbon steel, which is especially suitable for high-corrosion working environments. With the help of the JISCO, the high-alloy coiled tubing has provided new options for increasing and stabilizing the production of old wells containing corrosive media such as hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide in the Xiagu gas field of Changqing Oilfield.

“Coiled tubing has high requirements for the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, and ultrasonic testing is required for every meter, which requires very high steel purity.” Chen Xingrun, responsible engineer of the stainless steel branch of JISCO Hongxing Co., Ltd. introduced: “Coiled tubing austenite There are brittle inclusions around the phase interface with ferrite, which will cause looseness and cracks during the pipe bending process, leading to inconsistent flaw detection.”

Facing special requirements, Chinese stainless steel pipe fittings supplier JISCO developed a special inclusion control technology for 2205 duplex stainless steel, which effectively solved this problem. “The composition of our 2205 duplex stainless steel is precisely controlled, and the pitting resistance equivalent is stable above 35.
